This trap is designed for adult fruit flies. Fungus gnats, drain flies and other small flying insects may need different treatments. Check which insect you are seeing before choosing a product.
Why might fruit flies still be appearing?
New adults can continue to appear if breeding sources remain. Remove overripe produce, clean organic residue, empty bins and place the trap close to activity. Results vary with the setting and the size of the problem.
Does each trap last 90 days?
No. Each trap and lure dose lasts up to 45 days. The two included sets provide up to 90 days of total supply when used one after the other, or up to 45 days at two spots when used together.
Can I refill it with something from the kitchen?
Use the supplied lure and follow the included directions. Household mixtures are not part of this kit and their performance has not been verified here.
What should I know before placing it?
Read and follow the product label. Keep traps and lure out of reach of children and pets, avoid eye contact, and place where the trap will not be disturbed or tipped. Do not put the lure on food or preparation surfaces.
